This suggests that the problem is not with Blackmagic, but with whatever editing software that Ellory is using. Yes, Final Cut pulls out the metadata and assigns it properly. Final Cut Pro, for example, uses these metadata from BMD cameras: Reel, scene, take, and camera angle are filled in automatically in every clip in Final Cut's metadata fields, and those metadata are searchable and can be used to create Final Cut's equivalent to smart bins.

I don't have Premiere or Avid, so don't know if they capture metadata from BMD cameras. This is great and useful in Resolve, and only in Resolve.
